Camp Me!’s dedicated, experienced and energetic staff members strive to create a memorable summer for our campers. Each staff member brings their unique specialized skills, enthusiasm and creativity to ensure not only an educationally enriching experience, but a fun one as well! CPR and First Aid certified staff members are on site to ensure safety for our campers.

LEAD COUNSELOR – KRISTAL
Kristal Delacruz was born in Olongapo, Philippines. Kristal attended UC Davis, where she received a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Human Development in 2012. While at UC Davis, she was also an active member in Alpha Phi Omega, a national co-ed community service fraternity. After graduating from UC Davis, Kristal moved to the Bay Area and currently works as an Instructional Assistant for The Bridge School in Hillsborough, a nonprofit organization for school-aged children with speech and physical disabilities.
Kristal’s father was in the Navy, which gave her the opportunity to travel to other countries, such as Guam and Korea. In high school, Kristal was active in sports, having participated in track for four years in high school, as well as having run cross country! Kristal also has a passion for singing and music. It is her way to express herself, but she also believes it provides an emotional outlet for others. She enjoys outdoor activities, such as running, hiking, and kayaking. Kristal is always looking for an adventure, so you can find her exploring and trying new activities.
Kristal values the importance of keeping a curious mind. She enjoys working with children because she wants to help them believe in their abilities, especially at a young age. Kristal believes that big changes come from small steps and that everyday brings another chance to make a difference.
Mira was born in San Mateo but grew up in in Los Angeles. She has returned to the Bay Area and has called San Francisco “home” for the last three years! Currently, Mira is a Junior at San Francisco State University, and is majoring in communicative disorders with a minor in Judiac studies. Mira’s long term goal is to become a speech pathologist and work with children.
Mira enjoys working with children and is currently a volunteer, working with an after school program in Daly City. She assists elementary aged children from ages 5-8 with their homework. Mira has a lot of experience in the summer camp setting, having worked in summer camps since 2007. In these past 5 years, Mira has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of children from ages 2-12 years old. Her enthusiasm and energy is boundless and she looks forward to sharing her experiences, and creating new ones, with the Camp Me! campers this summer!
In her spare time, Mira loves to create new experiences by exploring San Francisco. Mira loves working with children of all ages because each child is different and they each bring something new to her life and they always make her smile.

LEAD COUNSELOR – PETER
Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Peter Felton is a published author and holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies–Teacher Education. Peter owns eight years’ experience working with students in elementary school and middle school as a: lead teacher, substitute teacher, full time volunteer teacher, teaching assistant, and after school tutor — for all Grades K-8, in San Francisco public and private schools, covering all academic core subjects. In all his positions as an educator, Peter enjoys showing students the beauty and artistry behind the academic concepts they are learning, utilizing recorded music bearing academically relevant lyrics as a teaching tool. Peter has also worked with students with special needs. Peter has a proven track record of success in helping children progress academically by helping them improve their basic study skills and organization. Peter’s vast experience working with children ages 5-14, in Grades K-8, in the classroom, has allowed him to carry over this instruction in a one-on-one environment.
In October 2012, Peter had the honor of getting his very first book published. Entitled, Daily Public Transit Ridership: The Inside Scoop, the book gives an in-depth perspective on the glory and wonder of riding public transportation on a regular basis.
LEAD COUNSELOR – MANDY
Mandy was born in Zhuangdong, China and immigrated to San Francisco when she was 15 years old. Mandy recently graduated from UC Davis with a double major in Math and Statistics , and a minor in Chinese. She has been admitted to San Francisco State University’s Teaching Credential Program for the 2013-2014 school year. Mandy is excited to begin her student teaching at a local middle school this fall! To prepare for her future career as a secondary school teacher in Math, Mandy joined the Mathematics and Science Teaching Program (MAST) at UC Davis, which had given her an opportunity to observe and teach at different school levels: elementary, junior high school, and high school. Mandy also worked as an in-class and after school tutor in a local junior high school in Davis. The students’ willingness and passion to learn is what motivates Mandy to teach. Mandy looks forward to helping educate the next generation, and her goal as a teacher is for her future students to reach their full potential, discover their talents, and build up their self-confidence through learning, in a safe, happy, and enjoyable classroom environment.
